Prune Jam | raw vegan

As a kid I was obsessed with Powidl. A super sticky and sweet plum jam with slightly less sugar than regular ones. There also exists a version in which you only heat the blended plums up until the fruit sugar resolves and the water is boiled away… But that’s another story.. and recipe 😉Bildschirmfoto 2015-02-05 um 22.15.38

So as I craved this delightful dessert spread over the weekend I decided to make my own version and give it a healthy twist!!!

Let me present you: RAW VEGAN PRUNE JAM 

  • uber sweet
  • very addictive (I warned you)
  • extremely healthy
  • super easy and quick to make
  • and it will impress any non-vegan foodie

Recipe:

  • 200 grams dried and pitted prunes
  • cinnamon and cacao
  • one lemon
  1. Soak the prunes for about 4-8 hours in water.
  2. Drain them.
  3. add your spices. {1 tbsp cacao ; half a tbsp cinnamon} and the juice of one lemon.
  4. blend everything.
  5. enjoy 🙂

This requires such little time and work that it is not even a recipe.
Yet it is one of the best things you might ever taste :p
